2017 black CVO SG heat shields
« on: January 31, 2017, 09:18:10 PM »

Quick question, does Harley make these? I bought some noted as take offs with 1 mile on them on ebay.  They appear to be painted, not powder coated, or at least just powered on on side with over spray on the inside.   I've looked at all 4 color options, none have black on them.

It was a good enough price so I don't mind as long as they last. My question is does the description sound right to be genuine Harley? AND there are now others up with the same ad and if BS I want to save someone else.

I'm not sure how they could be take-offs, since "take-off" implies they were taken off a bike equipped with black shields standard.  I'm not aware of a 2017 CVO that comes with black exhaust, but there again I'm not an expert on the 2017 offerings.  Harley does sell a set of heat shields for the headpipes in black if you want them.
