AJ,
Are you getting concerned w/his bike tore down like that? ;) :huepfenlol2: My guess is he'll have it tore down a couple more times before it's ready to leave for Hot Springs. :apple: :pepper: :cherry:

If I ever tore my bike that far apart, I'd have to buy a new one! No doubt 'bout it !!!

Didn't Chief say before that he goes in the basement to work on the bike and wifey leaves him alone? Now I can understand why. :nervous: :huepfenlol2:

Well, tonight she came down just to see what was going on, and she's the one who said, "You've got to take a picture of it and put it on the site."

I'm hoping tomorrow will be a day of "healing" and it will once again start looking better.

I'm very sure of one thing here. If my wife  came out to the garage and my new Jester was all apart like that.......all hell would break loose. I did that with the RK just to give it a once a year tear down for cleaning etc....  You'd thought I'd destroyed the bike or something.
UJ

It's not like I tore that much off of it, but once the rear tire and fender were gone, it looks totally destroyed.

It does look pretty sad. I'll definitely have to admit that.

Cheif, we're still going to Hot Springs aren't we?

I'm glad we don't have to leave tomorrow.

Chief, your OCD is way better (worse  :nixweiss: ?) than mine.  I'd never rip it apart like that just to change bolts.  And the fender?  If it's hidden under the seat; well screw it  :huepfenlol2: .

However, congrats on the satisfaction you'll get from a task done well and done as you want it.  And, by the way, any spare parts left over when you're done; they didn't need to be there anyway!

I admire your skill. I would never go for such turnaround muself as I would be afraid that by the time I put it all together I will have quite a few spare parts left.

Good luch with your project and I hope we will see the pics once you have it all back in one piece.

And my wife freaks whenever I changed the fuel cap cover by myself! Ever since the last incident, she doesn't trust my mechanical ability.

Well, that's how the story began, but you know the drill. It's kind of like the plastic surgeon, "While we're here..."

It wouldn't have gotten this bad if the case bolts had shown up on Friday when they were supposed to. Then I would have something to do, like putting it back together.

I guess bad things can happen when I hae free time and a nearby tool box.

Uh, just got to thinkin', any spare parts left over from this job are likely to be bolts. :nervous: :nervous: :nervous:
