Buy the isolator from bush tech as well.  then us a piece from J & P cycle that plugs into the rear wiring harness and has pig tails coming out to make your splices.  That way you cut no wires and it is easy to move to another bike if you wish later.

Spoke to my buddy that bought the hitch last night. The FLH model does not fit and is approx 1 inch too narrow. But......(as I bow my head), his scooter is a 07 SE Road King and that could be the difference between his and mine. He spoke with Bushtec and they had never tried it on the Screaming Eagle Road King and had only assumed it would work. They couldn't find an immediate RK. In any event they were going to have their engineer take a look at it for a resolve.

I'll be measuring today and hopefully, his hitch will fit my bike. If so, I've got a hitch.  :2vrolijk_21: I'll get back if the hitch is a go or not on the width.

Isn't that because the 07 Road King has a wider rear swingarm for the fatter tire.

That would be my guess.

Can someone shed some light on this for me? I do not understand why the daggum hitch is designed so far below the fender tip that you need a filler !?!?!?!?!

The Way The Hitch is designed- Three Parts- Two that attach to the Fender Rails and then Attach the third Hitch reciver to the fender struts under the rear fender. The Chrome V-rail is just a filler you need on the CVO as the Regular Ultr has a bumber guard.

Call The folks at Bushtec and they will tell you first hand if it will fit an 07. They will NOT sell it to you John Preston would not allow that to happen.

Use Caution whatever trailer hitch you install when wiring it to use a Isolator without it you can overload your bikes electric system and cause the Check engine light to light or cause rough running trouble. I used a prewire plug to go between the isolator and the rear stock wiring. That way I did not have to cut the OEM wiring. If I need to remove the Hitch and wiring I can just unplug the isolater and replug the stock wire back together.

John Preston has left the company, ask for Jim Miller, super guy, been there forever and a straight shooter.

This thread is four years ole.  Since then Bushtec has made a version specifically for the CVOs which do not have the bumper.  It does not hang down below the fender and does not reqire the V-Rail to fill the space.  Check their website or give them a call.  Just put one on my '11 RUSE.

See now there is the source of my confusion. I emailed them last week and they responded with "You would need a pin hitch for 1985-2008 Harley-Davidson FLH Models for $360.00, a plug-n-play electronic relay isolator package for $89.00, and a bike side 4’ harness for $20.00."  :nixweiss:

Check out N-LINE TRAILER .com. They build a great hitch. It wont break on Ya. Black is $260 plus $25 4 shipping. I have 1 on my flt & will be buying 1 for my 011 cvo soon. You won't be dissapointed.   Also check out American Legend Trailers .com.  They  have all the wiring harnesses you will need.  I have an N-Line Trailer & an American Legend Trailer. They are both great trailers.

Is the rear section on the 2011 SERG and SEUC the same? I see where they are specifically calling out the SERG fitment only but not seeing anything for the SEUC.
