Hi Boss and welcome. You will get a warm welcome once everyone knows that you are here.

It could be that people haven't understood your post as I understood you to mean wheel rims and was thinking all of the wheels are solid on the non-spoke stuff. Then that most of us will have chrome wheels here.

I get your drift big T . I've chrome rims as well on my glide . However I've noticed alot of  posts about the "newer" cvo rims having flakey chrome . I have not had that problem as of yet , thank god . It seems that a combination of less than stellar outsourcing and EPA regulations have made chrome parts from " Mount Milwaukee " just a little on the shabby side .  [smiley=smilie_daumenneg.gif] Once warrantys run out , and they will, we will be faced with a decision  . Rechrome our existing rims , ignore the crappy chrome , or replace them . There are several companies here in the U.S. that manufacture and chrome outstanding rims. The reason that I brought these rims up is their striking design . The profile of an eagle's head certianly fits the bill 4 our bikes . [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

What would a 21in front wheel do to the handling of the bike?   [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

The change in the "trail" in the bike would be negligible and would not afect the handling there.

You're exactly right MFG . Any change in rake or trail would be offset by the lower profile tire . Also , you probably would experience less lateral movement  . However , I wouldn't attempt any curb hopping with a 21" rim  [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]. I found pixs of a glide with a 21" on DM customs web site . Although the rim isn't an eagle's head , it can give you some sort of idea what a bike could look like with the eagle profile rim and matching rotors . Slicker than snottt !!!  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

There is an 18" rim in their lineup as well , if a 21" seems too radical . The 120 / 70 /21" tire is a " fat tire "  , at least with the height to width ratio . Every thing should fit under the stock front fender . After installation with the proper spacers , I think  the only things that one would have to watch out are tire pressure and what you run over . This is because of the very low profile tire !!!

Mike,

I think that I have understood your sensible answer but would add to it that those 21" wheels do tend to follow every little contour of the road surface.

If the Boss is really serious them maybe he could get a fat 21" made!

I still haven't figured out how to paste a link yet [smiley=nixweiss.gif] . What I can tell you is the actual rim is located  at Xtreme machine USA web site . I also found a couple of pixs at DM customs of a road glide with a 21"er .  At DM customs you have to search a little bit .  As far as my sanity goes [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif] , I'm seriously concidering the eagle rim .
