Had a big thunder storm thru my area a couple of weeks ago. Took out one of my big screen TVs and the surround sound receiver for my other big screen plus other stuff including two of my garage door openers. So I'm now in the middle of replacing the two openers.
One of them is the same door that I use to go in/out with my bike. So I have the H.D. GDO setup that has worked OK on that door.
Just completed installing that new door opener, but I note that the H.D. receiver that is plugged into a wall receptical does NOT have that little red lite glowing. So I'm thinking the lightening surge took it out too.............Should that little red lite be on all the time or just when you are activating the system via your headlite switch on the bike.
?

I'm an insurance adjuster, I see lots of lightning claim in the Tampa, FL area. yep, I am almost certain the HD plug is fried. Seems with most lightning strikes, the fragile electronics in the home go first. I am going to guess that your sprinkler system, if you have one is damaged along with cable or sat boxes.
Btw, did you submit an insurance claim under your homeowners policy, if you have one? You should have and you should get an electrician to run a check on all electrical circuits in the home.
Also, a little known fact about lightning strikes; they can eventually cause leaks in copper pipes if they are in the slab of the home (here in Fl, no basements, all plumbing is in the concrete slab)
