Alarm -
« on: April 26, 2017, 02:30:19 PM »

i have a 2014 CVO Softail Deluxe and I would really like to NOT have the audible alarm on my bike.  The lights are ok, but if my FOB is too far away, the alarm sounds and it is very noisy and my neighbors are not really happy about it!  Does anyone know how to disable the audible portion of the alarm?  I am sure there is a module somewhere that i can unplug.......thanks

The siren is a separate part (and isn't standard on regular models with security systems).  I assume all you would need to do is locate the siren and disconnect the wiring.  The attached pdf is taken from the installation manual for the siren, it should help you to locate the connection.

Btw, you might want to study the owner's manual closely first to see if there is a simple option to disable the siren, similar to the options to disable the chirps.

thanks...I will check it out and see if this will work for my bike.  I will also check the owners manual, but i think it just talks about the chirps.
