New (to me anyway) Route planner

Good friend of mine owns an Indian dresser. He turned me on to their rout planning web site,
http://tourstart.org

I like it! Fairly simple to use, you can drag a route to change it and if your erase a waypoint and the maps goes back to the route you did not want, the browser back button returns you to the point you were at, way unlike HD ride planner.

There are route options that include Scenic, mountain, seaside, twisty and straight.

I planned two routes for this coming weekend and both transferred to Boom! Audio and with no issues and I previewed both routes and they are on the HD as planned. I will update after the weekend if I run into any issues or find other oddities.

Just a heads up, must be because it is Europe based, but then I started typing in my home address, it listed the street first, then house number, so I soon realized this is how you have to enter an address, it also placed my home is a city just north of me in the address list, but had house on map exactly where is actually is. Two little quirks, but no big deal.

When you go to save the route, you can label start, stops and waypoints you can also give them a description (IE gas station is on southwest side) and you can add photos and even videos after the ride of you have saved it in your account.
As is same with Tyre, paid version gets you nothing more you would use/need. There is also a mobile app. This is a web based program, so no need to download the program to your computer.

Please let me know if anyone else has used it and what results you have had. It is pretty similar to Tyre but way more options.

I just looked at it and I like it too. Searched youtube and website to see if it would work off the mobile app and have the phone pass the un downloaded map to the infortainment gps. I know, but just wishful thinking. It has some great in state rides already mapped out for a trip I'm taking next week. I'll spend an hour or two downloading to a flash drive.

Used the route made this weekend. Lots of turns on my route,no issues whatsoever.

Once the route is planned on any route making app or web page, it is up to the Infotainment system to put that route into action. I still have some minor issues with the way the Infotainment system handles routes, but that is an HD thing.

So far, I really like this mapping program.

I wouldn't waste your time by installing the phone app, you cant type in addresses for start, waypoint or finishes, you have to pick them from map and you cannot edit your route by either dragging the planned route or choosing a type of route, like in the web page. Also asked me to continually install the Florida maps, even though I did twice. Waste of time for the app, but web page is awesome.

I won't use it for what it's supposed to be for since I don't use GPS, but their setup let you more put more than 20 points which is the limit on google maps. For that its great. I don't like that I cant click to zoom when I do that it just pops up an address which is annoying.
