Clutch and Brake Levers
« on: May 02, 2017, 01:18:00 PM »

My wife's hands are a little smaller and she's having difficulties with the hydraulic clutch lever on her 2017 SESG.

Does anyone have experience with HOGLeverage levers for clutch and brake or another competing product?

Thanks.  (Yes I searched the forums first).

Originally they only made black levers, but now they also offer chrome versions.  I would caution you, as I have others, that reducing the reach of the lever and thus the total travel of the master cylinder can cause the clutch to not fully disengage (clutch drag).  You will need to take that into account when adjusting the clutch lever.

You are correct.  They are Oberon levers sold by HOGLeverage in the US.  I should have thought to search the forums for Oberon after I saw that name on the HOGLeverage website.

Sounds like some people are having good luck with them and since they're sold out right now, it sounds like they're getting popular.

Thanks.

I just  bought the clutch lever 2 weeks ago. Love how the lever can be adj closer to the grip. Makes the clutch use so much easier (less force)  by not having to use my finger tips to pull the clutch in.  I have small hands myself.
I think the concern of some not getting their clutch to disengage is when they are set at position 1 and a thicker than stock handgrip???  Mine works flawless with the stock CVO grips and in pos 1, (closest to grip).
With that being said, the lever is such that you hand is now placed a little bit further out do to the adj dial. So those with small hands, will find that now they may have to reach a little with their thumb in order to control the hand controls. In a sense, trading 1 issue for another. On the other forum, someone bought the lever and had the same experience as I and have removed and are selling their new lever for a good discount. I am removing mine and going to buy another stock chrome lever and have it bent a bit. At least it will match the brake lever again. just my opinion on the operation of the Oberon lever
