No cvo street glide??????
Give it time as I'm sure this isn't a complete list. Then again, a lot of us were waiting on the "4th" CVO to come out mid year last year.

2018 CARB was updated sometime today. Nothing on the CVOs yet.

Just starting to look at it now.

It looks like some of the CARB reports are out.

Baton Rouge Harley has announced the unveiling will be Monday ( tomorrow) . No time set so I assume it will be simultaneously done with the moco website.

This (thread) makes for a stunning study regarding "brand loyalty".  No matter all the problems uncovered with past and present models in this forum,  by God............I've owned my current Harley for two or three whole years,  likely I have a warranty or extended one to cover any problems and now I'm ready to get a brand new one. :nixweiss:

While I'm noticing on another thread about the new Indian models,  I'm seeing some (perked up) interest from some of you,  but there remains that subset that just can't fathom owning and/or riding another brand.

I kinda understand it as I'm a Chevy guy and don't want a Ford...........but this excitement about what the new models do or do not have color wise and/or model wise becomes facinating to me.  I no longer ride enough to much consider getting a new one,  but if I did,  I for sure would take a hard look at the Indians as an alternative choice.

Yes,  I'm sure that Indians will in fact have their own set of glitches/problems,  but I would hope their dealer network would respond better than what many of you have found to be..................."They all do that". :nixweiss:

Understand how easy it is to see this each year and think the new model interest is strong.  In fact it may be; at some level.  The interest is nowhere as heightened as it was 10-12 years ago.  Then there would be a large group here waiting and chatting and sharing for the moment the new stuff started being released; with a waxing interest almost as strong until that day and moment's crescendo.  Then as quick as it happened we were parsing new parts and new models and how retrofits might happen.  It was fun and interesting (and a little nerdy and geeky too).

A dozen years of declining attitude, quality and support have diminished that almost rabid fascination and interest. I'm sure the pool boy could explain it better but it's nowhere near the anxiety and/or interest shared by more total bodies from a far larger overall crowd.

I'm more interested in a couple of the brethren's new Indians or a couple others recently acquired late model Victory bikes than anything Harley is doing.  The new M8 release last year was interesting.  Strictly from an engineering and design curiosity that got my attention.  Of course I was hopeful it would be "different" and wouldn't be using the new fleet of owners as its beta testers. The guys with oil pumps failing (or not operating to standard) or those losing oils from primary to tranny or vice versa (I still don't understand that one) or those who know several years in are still having a cacophony of water pump issues dampened that curiosity in a hurry though.

So, yeah, I'm sure new models will be released right way (it happens exactly when  :nixweiss: ?).  Aside from the plaid saddles I don't have a lot of interest though.  My old bikes are just fine.

Wait till later on tomorrow,  good chances are that even though most people that have at least a half of clue as to what is going on............there will still be some (retards) also known as those that never pay attention..........that will panic,  hit the brakes in the middle of traffic,  and/or create a bad scene where if they were "tuned in" to life,  there would be no problem.

Lets see if any of that happens tomorrow................................ :nixweiss:

I believe TwoLane is correct, there just isn't the interest in new models as there was in years gone by - like 8-10 years ago.

Possibly it is due to the much larger problem facing Harley... We're all getting older, and there isn't young buyers following.

With age comes wisdom and a certain level of comfort in the knowledge to recognize a good thing when you have it.

I still love my '08 Duracell enough that nothing thus far since has spurred me to trade it on a newer model... Then again, it is now like an old pair of slippers that just fits right!

Who knows what tomorrow will bring?   :nixweiss:

CVOs have been around for 18 years (if I counted right).  10-12 years ago CVOs were still relatively new and the MC market - particularly for Harley - was strong.   Now some CVO models are on auto-repeat and the changes that are major - like the M8 - don't generate the interest that the 103 did, etc.  At one time was more difficult to buy a CVO, not as true today, if you want one, you can usually find one.

And even if they put plaid saddles on 84% of the product line, the interest will still not be what it was.  Well, except for this one guy..... ::)
