Top 7 Harley Dealerships??
« on: May 10, 2017, 05:05:16 PM »

Nothing shocks me anymore!  Harley-Davidson's Dealer Management Team must be high on opiates, or dope-sick, if they include Cole Harley-Davidson, and Black Bear Harley-Davidson, (also owned by Cole), in their Top 7 Dealerships.  Obviously, it doesn't require any qualities at all to be included in that group, other than a Dealer Agreement.  There endeth the lesson.  Later--HUBBARD

Ha the #1 isn't even in the US. Also surprised that AD Farrow dealer isn't on it. They've been around for 105 year so I would assume they're doing it right. That just looks like a list of who pushes the most bikes out the door.

I'm sure if it was released by the mothership, the only criteria was sales/profit.  I'm almost certain customer satisfaction, quality of service, etc. didn't factor in.

I Googled this, and got a link to hdforums.  It looks legit.

FWIW.... I have no clue how they did this. Some big forum company writer did it.

And..... Just how the hell can Wytheville be in the top of anything? Those morons couldn't figure out a coil was bad in a brand new bike. It cost member Norseman a lot of lost time and aggravation last year when he bought his '16 SESG. It ain't complicated,,, suck, bang and blow on an internal combustion anything. No spark, No bang.

Wonder who came up with that List.  I have been in several on the list.  Smoky Mountain in East TN beats all five on the list that I have been in in several areas.  Size, sales, customer satisfaction and so on.  Smoky Mountain is always rated near the top by the mother company based on customer satisfaction.

Maybe it's like the Good Housekeeping Seal is now days....you pay a fee, you get a seal...it's that easy.

You pay a fee, you get top of the "Top Harley Dealerships" list.... :confused5:

And I'm with you on the SMHD, Dave.  While I have always liked K'ville HD and bought all but one from them (the '12 came from Scott), I have to say SMHD in Maryville has one of the best set-ups in all the country as for bikes, floor space, parts, service, concerts, gathering spots and not bad BBQ.  I would put the sales folks there at the top, too.  When you go across this country and other dealerships know of SMHD in a good way, that says volumes.

In conversatiions I have had with several owners over the years, the awards have to do with $$ MONEY $$....clothes that are sold, parts sales volume, in store seminars on the topic of the month, education taken...in every area including store and executive management, WHO designed the store and WHERE the displays were purchased (HD vendors preferred).

The sales and service areas are last. They want all staff and management to attend and graduate from the tech certification classes.

Of course everything is subject to the customer feedback scores.  :2vrolijk_21:

We bought our 2015 CVO Ultra at the Hells Canyon dealership and can say that the service department is or has been for me, a very good place and the people there have always been great to work with.
So if your on the road and in the area for a visit or in need of service to get you back on the road, this is the place to go to.

I'm a long time customer of Barrie Harley-Davidson and they are definitely #1 in my books!  :2vrolijk_21:

It is nice to see the MoCo recognizes them in the same fashion.

They are very much deserving of such an award.

I'd like to see a list of the crappiest dealers.  :orange: :mango: :pepper: :apple: :carrot: :jalapeno: :cucumber: :pineapple:
