howzit!! From Hawaii, lot to learn!!
« on: May 16, 2017, 12:12:38 AM »

Purchased a brand new 2014 Road King CVO a couple years back. Been riding it stock since. Great bike!!  But have finally decided that I need to get that Harley sound going.

I have talked with Steve at Fullsac, and he recommends gong with the 2.25 baffles with techmat blankets and sleeves. I am only looking for a nice deep Harley rumble, not necessarily any form of power increase. This bike has plenty power for me.

I'm learning as I go. Not wanting to mess with tuning and all that - at least not yet, not until I am out of warranty.

Eh Bruddah, e komo mai.

Welcome to the no ka oi site for all things CVO. Please post plenty da kine photos of your bike. What part of Hawaii are you from? My cousin and I are from Kailua, he's from Maunawili, and I'm from Keolu Hills. He splits his time between California and Oahu, he has a bike there so maybe you can get together and ride. His son has a Road King.

Speaking of get togethers, we have a helluva one planned for Early September in Cody, WY. You should consider flying in to Vegas, renting a bike and joining us. It's the best way to meet members.

Stick around, and I'll see you the next time I visit home.

Laters brah!

Hi and welcome to a great forum from the UK. You have a great bike. I've got the 2.0 Fullsac baffles on mine and have just fitted a DX pipe. Best sounding Harley I have ever owned now.

Thanks Ironhorse. I stay Ewa Beach. I'm not a tech guy - took me a year to figure out how to use this darn phone!!  I'm a concrete guy, or handyman of all sorts old-school - I.e. Concrete, plumbing, carpentry, - but not so good when it comes to computers/tech type stuff.

That being said, I know how to take pics with my phone, but how do I go about posting them here?

Hey Bav, what exactly is the DX pipe? I am learning a lot about Harley's, I always rode Hondas. My CVO was an investment I had been waiting literally years to get.

With install of what Steve at Fullsac has recommended, should I also look to installing this DX pipe?  Will I have to retune and all that??  Honestly, just looking for better rumble Harley sound. Th stock CVO is very quiet. Compared to all i have ridden before, this bike has more than enough power I will ever need.

Shoots, Tony

Hey TonyT, welcome to the site . The DX pipe is the Fullsac replacement for the front half of the exhaust system. It is where the cat is . If you replace both halves of the exhaust you would need a tune. For what you are looking for Steve gave the correct advise . Ride on . Fredfoot

Welcome to the site Tony.  I used to live in Kaneohe for a few years.

Good luck with the pipes.  You should really retune with the new pipes to get the most out of them.  There's a lot of great advice on this site.  But Steve from Fullsac will set you up right!
