New CVO owner in Maryland

Hello All,

Over the weekend I brought home a 2014 CVO Road King, Titanium Dust and Cosmic Black.  Anything in the color of "Cosmic Black" has to be awesome. 

I wasn't planning to buy a CVO, and was actually shopping new Road Kings and RK Specials, but this bike has 2000 miles on it, and they made me a deal I couldn't pass up.  It probably helped that I am an MSF Instructor at the dealership  ;)  I traded a very cool 2005 Road King Police that I had spent a lot of time and money on, and rolled a ton of miles on...but it was time to go. 

I have a 6500 mile trip planned next month, so I need to get some comfort things done (highway pegs, backrest, and new bars), but I cannot wait for it.  Also have a color matched tour pak on the way as part of the deal.  Woo Hoo!

Adding a pic of the old RK.  It will be tough seeing her on the showroom floor, since I spend a lot of time at the dealership teaching classes.

Congratulations on your new CVO Road King, it is really a good looking bike. And Welcome to the site from The Lowcountry of South Carolina! Being as you like traveling, check out the Events Section of the forum. There you will find all the CVO Harley Gatherings throughout the country and also the international gatherings. ( We call them Get Togethers or GTG's ) We would love to have you join in on one or more. These GTG's are a good place to put faces to screen names and many a lasting friendship has come from these GTG's.
If your trip takes you anywhere near Eureka Springs the week of June 5th thru the 9th we will be there at the NMITM GTG and would be pleased to have you stop in and visit or better yet join in the fun.

This year's trip takes me from MD to IL, toeet up with a couple of high school buds, then on to western NE, SD, WY, CO, NM, and then back to IL.  Rest a couple days, then home to MD.  June 25 - July 13.
