No doubt you're right Don, but I can't help myself.  I've seen way too many people do things for the wrong reasons and wind up damaging their equipment or hurting themselves or others, so I continue to tilt at windmills in hopes I can influence at least a few to abandon bad ideas.

well, you don't have to try and convince me.  when I bought my agitator wheels (pre cvo bike), the po had installed a 200 tire on the rear.  it looked cool as chit on the roadglide, but I always worried in the back of my mind, what if?  I knew that the tire wasn't a mt tire, so tread life would be considerably less, so I was willing to let it go until replacement time.
before it became time to replace, I bought my cvo.  so the chrome agitators came off the trade in and went on the wife's bike.  I am not going to take any chances when it comes to her safety, so one of the first things I did was have that tire pulled and a stock 180 fitted back there.  doesn't look as cool, but I know that everything is in spec and I don't have to worry.  these crazy drivers on the road make me worry about her enough as it is, don't need to add to it.
