Removing passenger floorboards, 09 CVO Road Glide
« on: May 25, 2017, 07:50:41 PM »

I want to remove my passenger floorboards on my bike, can anybody explain how to do it? They are the ones that come stock on the CVO touring bikes, mine were added before I bought it........can't seem to find any allen screw or anything that holds them on....picture is for reference

Remove the insert that your foot sits on from the lower portion, it should pop up, then there are two pins that hold it on to the bracket, it should be self-explanatory after you get the insert off

HI SEsupply2, if you remove as per serfvd6 you will still be left with the stems that are attached to the frame. Get a service manual or go to your local dealer and just ask them. There has got to be a way to unbolt the stems from the frame. On my 09 the stems are angled so that the footboards were always hitting the back of my calves so I switched them from side to side to cure the problem. Of course it was easy because one big bolt holds them to the frame. I am sure someone on the site with a service manual will chime in and give you some info. CAHDBIKER

My mistake on the above. I read your post and thought you wanted to remove them entirely. CAHDBIKER

I assume those boards are the same as the ones that came stock on the CUSE.  If you want to remove the entire assembly, there is one large bolt that holds it to the frame, item #3 in the attached drawing.  Or you can remove individual pieces, just go by the illustration.
