Road king seats and fitment for other touring
« on: June 10, 2017, 01:54:02 PM »

So I'm looking for a Corbin or mustang seat solo for my bike with backrest where I can throw on a pillion for the wife. Found one thatguy claims will fit my 2007 electraglide ultra classic CVO but the Corbin site is very specific to roadking and only 2 model years. corbin hd-rk-6-s Any idea if it would fit without mods?

I'm not familiar with the seat you're looking at, but I am familiar with the difference between the RK seats and the EG seats, at least in the pre-2009 model years.  The difference is in the front of the seat where it meets the rear of the tank console.  The RK has a longer console so the nose of the seat is shorter.  See the attached illustrations.

Yea I have a dash extender for that since I run streetglide seat as well. Just wondering if this seat will fit since it seems to call for very specific years. Guess I could resell it easy enough.

I purchased a very expensive seat from Corbin and it does not fit my bike. Corbin will not replace or correct the problem. I'm currently in the process of suing them. DO NOT buy Corbin.

Basically anything Will I interchange.   For the era you mentioned you'd be interested in Road King or Road King Classic, Street Glide or the 04 and 05 CVO Electra Glides.  All those will mate to the end of the dash reasonably well.

That ^ assumes the dash extender you mentioned.  Without that you can't use anything except the saddles for t he short dash Electa Glide and Road Glide.
