rubaga,
I was kidding - honest!  I'm hoping mine is sitting in a box waiting to ship ;).

Thats all fine. As long as we get it. Even if it is collection of spares.  As we can see here it can all be easily put together to run well and for long.

I disagree on the issue of poor quality especially since the strike only lasted three weeks and did not get bitter. The Union got what it wanted and the workers had three weeks off as well as time to realize that they had good jobs. Believe me I've been on strike ( 13 weeks in 1985) after the 2nd week you start to ask yourself how much the job meant to you. With a good contract, three weeks to sleep in and kick back a bit ( picket line duty is 20 hrs/week for strike pay) I'm sure the vast majority are glad to be back and taking pride in what they do. Couple that with a redoubled effort on Management's part as to QA and IMHO the bikes being made for the next couple weeks at York will be better than usual.

Just checked with the dealer. My bike was suppose to be produced before the strike but shipping got delayed due to strike.  We'll see. Seems like I will get my bike now a month late to the intended date ie in April.

That is great news. At least you know it has been manufactured. Look on the bright side, you'll have  more time to buy additional chrome.

That is true.  I already have quite a heavy list of mods I am planning to do.  The thought of having even more scares me!  I guess nothing to do with that!

If anyone's interested in what the Union local and workers think, this is the machinists union local website. Interesting. I think they both think they won something. Hoist! 8)

I really hope so. Although I am planning a few upgrades so may take a bit of time to get the bike on the road....

The weather here is not great either. Snow and ice. Far from bike paradize. So the only thing left is to ride the bike through the web... ;D ;D ;D
