Mojave Desert riders
« on: June 23, 2017, 10:19:50 AM »

With all that heat out there if you want to catch a break, y'all can ride come here for a break. I rode DV last year, this same week, and 120+ is miserable especially on that fresh blacktop they put down.

Mojave Desert not quite as hot as Death Valley.  Mojave got up to 124F this week, Furnace Creek in Death Valley got up to 130F.......and they think it's hot in Ariz.  :o

Colorado sounds real ideal to me right now!  Of course it sounds ideal to me, year around as I have been there in my 4x4 also.   :P

Yes Death Valley is a whole different level. From Vidal over to 29 Palms, you all need to plant some trees on that road, there is zero shade! Last year was 126 when we rolled through DV, stayed in Furnace Creek and found out there is no such thing as a cold shower there.... Read the a/c system broke too, can't imagine that. Hope the cabin a/c's are working for those folks, that would be just plain awful.
