People were just burning tires off there bikes.  They had a elevated set up people could burn the tires off on for everyone to see.  Expensive venture.

The one in Sundance is a competition, they win money. The pits at bars like full throttle where you just roast off a tire yeah I don't see a point in that either.

The burn-out stand is a yearly thing in Sundance. I have been couple times to watch. Local shop close enough you can push bike to it the best I remember will change tires for you. Yes the winner does get money (or a tire?). Lots to look at there besides the burn-outs. We go to Devils Tower on Wednesday morning with a stop in Hulet,  then back to Sundance in the afternoon for the burn-outs. Fun day.

Could be much more than the 300~400 dollar tire.  I have seen belts fail during a burn out.  I have seen rubber come off tire and dent fender.

I will not do it on my bikes, but love to watch those who will.
