Steve (GMR) put a 117" kit in my Road King and I absolutely love it!

did a 117 on my 12 road glide it makes good power 134 hp 141 tq  with a baker DD7  and fullsac header and slip ons  2 inch cores

saying that my buddy put a super charger with inter cooler  on his victory cross country to put the hurt on the old road glide but it didn't work out good for him  :2vrolijk_21:

as no matter how many times he tries I can spank him in every scenario . off the line the DD7 a little slow but that don't last long

plus I get better gas mileage 220 to 285 where the blower victory is pressed over 200

No problems with my GMR 117,  If I'm not mistaken my build was the first HD 117 drop on kit and I gave Steve complete control over the build, however due to family obligations I haven't been able to have much leisure time to rack up many miles. I don't know how to add the link to the post that Steve started about this build but there are 37 pages on this forum to read through if someone wants to add it.

Has anyone just used all the parts from the HD 117" kit & if so how was your outcome. I called some dealers today & asked about the results they've gotten from the 117" kit. Most say they have seen good results using the kit. Most are using the PV tuner on the build. Haven't found too many that will tune with the TTS tuner. Thinking about going with the 585 cam instead of the 259 cam that comes in kit. Want to use GMR but he's a good 5 hr drive away one way. Checked on shipping bike & it was around $500 each way.

In my opinion.... That 5 hour drive is nothing compared to the quality you are going to get from using GMR compared to a dealer doing the install. "Most" dealers use the canned maps that are premade for the drop-in kits. I think everyone here would agree... You don't see very many tunes done by dealerships that are up to par or even close to a quality tuner like Steve at GMR. Again, just my opinion.

He is a link to a thread with a lot of examples of 117 kits both out of the box and modified.
It's a lot of material to wade through so you might want to grab a refreshing beverage or two first.
