After a full day in Glacier National Park it was time to make a decision!  The smoke that I had been experiencing for the last several days was getting worse.  Even more importantly it was coming from my primary destination!  The Banff National Park Area / Lake Louise / Jasper!  CHIT!

And so began the review of information!  What to do?  The roads I wanted to ride were closed or being closed.  The visual quality would be even worse if I traveled forward.  It was time to abort my original destination.  Now what?

Back and forth…mmm…

Time to head South but where…Butte, MT!  It was 4:30pm when I started my journey to Butte, so it would be another long day.  Daytime temps were in the lower 60s so at time that placed us in the 50s! 

Crank up the motorsickle and ride baby!

Mike Tyson once said, “everybody has a plan until they are punched in the face” and he was correct on me.  I had a plan but not a plan B which I rarely forget to do.  So it not the case here!  Lesson learned AGAIN!

My plan B journey would start a short distance from my overnight stay – Yellowstone National Park

Always a beautiful destination but you can still see the smoke here too…there were some fires that started in MT too.
