Hey all, Raskul here. I thought I would finally join and introduce myself. I've been lurking for the past couple months as I went through the process of buying my '07 SERK. After a lot of thought and deliberation, I finally decided to go with the Candy Cobalt. For me, it wasn't an automatic thing, color that is. They all look hot to me!
I'm an 18 year Air Force vet currently stationed at Wright-Patterson AFB. A Southern California desert rat at heart, this cold weather and snow is killing me. I went from being able to ride 350+ days a year at Edwards AFB, CA, to having to watch my bike sit in the garage due to snow, ice, and salt.
This is my second HD. My first was a black '03 Fatboy, which I still have and am holding until it becomes more of a seller's market. I've been really happy with my Fatboy and have enjoyed customizing it, but I just couldn't resist the new SERK's and all they had to offer. So much of what I wanted in my Fatboy was "standard" on this bike.
My SERK is currently in the shop getting RH TD's installed. I will be making a post on my set-up and pipe issue, but I wanted to introduce myself first. When I get my bike back from the shop and the sun decides to break through the clouds, I will take pictures of the two beasts and post. If there is one thing I've learned during my lurking days, you guys love pictures!
I'm looking forward to conversing with you all, and here is a picture of one my house beasts to hold you over in the mean time:
