I thought you were going to go in on the group buy with me? ;D

If I bought one of those, I'd have to make sure it was a pop-out camper because that's where I'd be sleeping for a long time.  :o

From the looks of Jerry's when I saw it opened up in Memphis, my short a$$ could sleep in it without a problem... ;D

I filled out all the info on their site. Do y'all think we can get a 'group buy' here? ;D

I'm still trying to figure out the best option for me. If these units hold 70% of their value after 5-6 years it makes sense to purchase new. And I really like Ultrafxr's paint! I just have not been able to tell the difference between the Quantum and Turbo+ besides pricing and minor styling changes.  :nixweiss:

I bought a Quantum a few weeks ago.  I have taken two trips of about 1000 miles each with it since buying it.  I can honestly say that I am completely happy with the purchase.  It tows great - you literally don't know it is back there.  I loose about 2mpg when towing.  I used to have to strap and bungy luggage all over my tourpak and stuff my saddlebags and tour pak to the brim - and now I have tons of room available without loading anything onto my bike.  My wife now can take more "stuff" which has made her happy...

The basic differences between the Quantum and Turbo are just about what you said - price - minor styling - slightly more storage space.  Kind of personal preference...

I chose to buy the diamond black color rather then custom paint to match my bike - I don't seem to keep a bike more then 2 or three years - and I expect to have the trailer a lot longer then that.  That kind of left white and black  as options - and it wasn't going to be white!!

The harness comes with the trailer (included in the price), and the hitch is extra.  i also purchased a cover, spare wheel bearing and spare tire and wheel.  It is completely simple to mount the hitch and wire the harness.  JPcycles offers an adapter plug that makes it real easy to wire.

Nothing but thumbs up from me....

The black is a better choice if you ever decide to paint over it anyway. :2vrolijk_21:

Hogasm and Blue Felix have a tent they can pull behind their bikes. I just did a quick search and the tent trailers look kinda cool.  There is a site that has nice looking tent trailers that the folks going to the Dam Ride may be able to work into their tour, it is not far;

Dear Mr. Mayer:

I know a guy named AJ.  Do you mind if I infringe on your copyright and call him a "big weiner?"

Sincerely,

Received in response:

Dear Mr. Carey:

AJ?  You know AJ too?  What A BIG WEINER?  Please, go ahead.

Sincerely,

So, with the proper citations and permissions in order AJ is hereby formally and officially recognized as the site's "big weiner."

Uhh, that being the case, I suggest the attachment as his new avatar:

Twolane,
is the black one you are "chasing" the one I told AJ about in South Bend, Ind?

It might be Willie.  I was speaking with a large dealer of Bushtec and other trailers in Olathe, KS (periphery of Kansas City).  Heluva nice guy.  He said he didn't have a thing close to what I was looking for.  Then called me back on his dime about ten minutes later to say he'd just gone hunting on a "Bushtec Forum" and found this one.  Told me all about it.  Told me exactly what it would have cost the buyer at the time he bought it.  Let me know of the various pros and cons to hooking it all up.  Even later invited me along on a ride a group he leads will be doing down in to Arkansas in late August.

The trailer isn't in South Bend.  But it's in norhthern Indiana not far from there.  So it's probably the same one.  With the information the Kansas City dealer provided I was well armed to speak with the owner (who was also a heluva nice guy).  We'll know this evening when we get a chance to speak again if we've closed the deal.  If so would try to pick it up this weekend.

Is it Doug Ricks the Chainsaw artist? I almost pulled the trigger on this one but told him yesterday morning I was not going to get a trailer after all.
He was willing to meet half way to Atlanta so I agree he's a nice guy but do NOT make him mad !!!!!!!!!! :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2: good luck :cherry:

That was his name.  Didn't know anything about the chainsaw thing though.  I spoke with him yesterday afternoon.  We're supposed to talk again tonight when we've each got a bit more time.

If you declined it just yesterday I'm hitting him at a good time  :2vrolijk_21: .  Thanks!

The only Difference is the Body style and of of course the overall size and load carry. Look at the pictures and you will see which one you like. the Suspesion is the same on all of them Air adjustable, I have a Quamtauim GL (which is the same as the Quamtaum) except the tail lights  & matching Spolier match a GL1800.

Price is just like HD the more you add the more $$ it cost. example Billet wheels - Buy new before (swapped out for $600) Pick up the trailer and drive around the lot then trade the wheels $1000.00 .

Also you should add one of these it makes it real easy to air adjust your load http://www.electricalconnection.com/electrical-components/08011.htm

I have one and it nice when it's raining and you don't have to hand pump it just prss the key fob and away you go.
