Bonsoir Jim,

Bruno (Paris) phoned me and after a discussion :
do you think that the US CVO exhaust are more noisy than our stock exhaust ?

He spokes with his dealer and he'll change the A/C for SE A/C, donwload SERT HDI but concerning the exhaust, he need to buy a set of exhaust in US because it's pricey in Europe.
He wish to buy a set just a little bit more noisy than stock.

Jacques

Bonsoir, Jacques.

The US ones are perhaps a little noisier, but I don't think that's what he should go for; if he doesn't want the full SE silencers (65115-98B, discontinued, but you can still find them), then I think he'd like the SE Touring ones that I had on my 03 Ultra - 65259-00. They look good, are much better than the standard mufflers, but are not too noisy.

I don't find it on the SE online on the Harley Internet Site ?
Are they compliant with the 07 CVO Model ?

Bonjour Bruno,

I've looked for the #65259-00 here :
https://www.zanottimotor.com/shopping/pLookUp.php

The price is 306 $ without the end caps.

Jim will give you the answer concerning the compliance with the CUSE² 07.

They are another discontinued model - but still available as Jacques has pointed out.  ;)

As to suitability for the 07 model - why not; they will physically fit.  All Touring mufflers will, of course as the size/dimensions haven't changed. As far as I can make out the only thing that affects suitability is emissions stuff, nothing physical.

They look good and are just a little louder than the standard ones. :-)

I was thinking about something different from the usual ones:

http://www.epiflex.com/rush_motorcycle_tips.html

Which fit, but they are expensive - $65 each, $35 for shipping, and no discount since Zanotti can't get them.  :-\

So it looks like I'll just go for the double groove billet Harley ones, 65061-01 which I like best of the HD ones.  I haven't ordered them yet though - the problem with them is that the chrome ALWAYS falls off the right hand one, so I may buy one here (to get warranty!) and one from Zanotti.

I try to get those ones
VANCE & HINES DRESSER DUALS (16729)  SE MUFFLERS (65259-00) TAPPERED END CAPS (65060-01)

Did you it's Ok with CUSE2 07 ?

Is the sound Ok ( not to far be legal noise  8), without wake up Paris  :soapbox:)

See you

 ;)

One point concerning this "old" set :
The dual had not the bungs for the O² sensors.
If you mount these duals, you need to put the bungs for the sensors.

Bruno,

Don't forget to put a topic in the thread Marketplace, "Buying".
Perhaps a brother will send you an offer.

Sounds fine, Bruno, but the V&H Dresser Duals you need are 16737 which have the 02 bungs.  They are in stock with V&H Europe. :-)

Be careful Bruno - those are the wrong end caps!  You need part number 65064-01 (Fitment A type) to go with  65259-00 mufflers.  (65060-01 are Fitment B type!).  The sound will be fine, and you won't be embarrassed driving past church on a Sunday! ::)
