 The guy did'nt want to ship to France

So I am now tracking ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Harley-Ultra-Road-King-Performance-Mufflers-84-96_W0QQitemZ180098688054QQcategoryZ35573QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SCREAMIN-EAGLE-ONE-PIECE-PERFORMANCE-MUFFLERS-TOURING_W0QQitemZ160098228937QQcategoryZ35573QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Those seems interesting too, did you now ?

Bruno

I don't fancy either of those ones, Bruno.  These are an excellent buy:  http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=020&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=300092621355&rd=1&rd=1

But I think you'd find them too noisy.  You should hold out and get the 65259-00 mufflers, the end caps you want, and the V&H Dresser Duals with the o2 ports!

Bruno, here's a thread where I believe you can get what you need.  If they won't ship it I'm sure one of us can.

I believe it was Super Trapp that produced the slip on mufflers for the MoCo, and they are still selling them as Super Trapp SE Slip Ons.

Check out their site.  Click on the Super Trapp SE link above in d00d's quote.

Paris should survive with these.  Here's the quote from the Super Trapp site: The SE Series will fill a huge demand created in the market today by adding less than 3dB(SAE J1287) to the stock sound level while still providing a deep rich tone, and the performance riders have come to expect from SuperTrapp, all at an affordable price.

The reference 65254-00A is the reference of the MUFFLER ASSY (Zanottimotor).

Bonjour Jim,

I found this changement in the new version J of SERT : (see attached file)
Now it's possible :
to disable/enable active exhaust
to disable/enable active intake
to enable/disable active compression release
and modified calibrations for FLT bikes (better fuel economy).

It's probably the explanation for Dogols and it means in this case that it's possible to dismount the flaps without DTC errors. Dogols had not finished the work !

It's better for the SERT solution but not so powerful than the TM/AT.

Jacques

Bonjour Jacques.

Can you remember where you found that information (that Rev J of the SERT software has check boxes to enable/disable the active valves)?   It's not in the SERT manual, that I can see.....

Good afternoon Jim,

With my post was attached this file (attached file).
It was a copy of the "Tuning Mode EFI Tuner On-Line Help" in the SERT Sofware 4.6.2 Rev. J in the index "Active Control Functions"

It seems You've these choice only the first time.

When programming is first started the ECM is checked for compatibility with the
following "Active Control" functions:
• Active Intake
• Active Exhaust
• Automatic Compression Release
If both the vehicle and calibration have any of these features available, a form will be
presented which allows the user to change the settings for these functions. Note that
not all features may be available for a given application. Unavailable features will be
grayed out and cannot be changed.

I've not SERT and I've not tested.

Jim,

I'm not sure but between the Rev E and J we've the MAP 94 added.
I think that it's for the HDI models and the MAP 84 is for US models.

If both the vehicle and calibration have any of these features available, a form will be
presented which allows the user to change the settings for these functions.

We need to create this situation for present the form and set these functions.
I know not if disconnecting the active controls and use the MAP 84 is enough ! Not sure !

Reading that, I'd guess it has to be Map 94 and disconnecting the controls, Jacques; 84 is likely not to "have these features available".

I was doing a friend's bike yesterday (same colour as yours!  :) ) and wanted to make sure I checked the boxes to disable the flappers - but I didn't get that far..... Both my laptop and his have no serial ports, so I used the USB to serial port adapter that I use with my TMAT, but the software refused to communicate with the SERT properly.  :(  He's going to try taking his home PC out to his garage tonight to try it with that.

The help file does say that a USB to serial converter can be used, but it wouldn't work with mine, that's for sure...

Hi Bruno, I went with the V&H TD, stage 1 kit but stuck with the stock mufflers and yes I get the sound although much more quieter.  If you want noise, change the mufflers as well.

Please, report me if you reach to the form and set these functions.  :2vrolijk_21:  (after the connection, of course !)
