Thanks for the info, I plan on getting the V&H header pipes to go with the V&H monster round(s). I am not sure if I can just install the V&H Fuelpak or have a HD tech at the dealer to install a SE pro tuner or what other tuner would you recommend so I would get the best results. I did swap out the stock air filter with a KnN filter.
First, you need to find a shop with a person who knows how to tune a bike. That is the first challenge. Then talk to that person about what device they prefer to use in tuning. If they say Fuelpak, turn around and walk out the door. The Fuelpak is not truely a tuner, it merely adds fuel much the way we did back in the bad old days by changing carb jets and tweaking screws. There's a bunch of similar devices out there. IMO, all of them defeat the purpose of having a fuel management system like comes stock on the bike. A real tuner modifies the ECM programming by either linking to it, like a SEPRT or TTS Mastertune. Or it completely replaces the ECM, like a Thundermax. There are a lot of opinions about which is "best". Mine is that the TTS is currently the best device, all things considered. But most HD shops will want to use the SEPRT. But many HD shops do not have people qualified to use the device to it's full capability.
The simplest way to modify the exhaust system and change the ECM is with the Fullsac Stage I "kit". The ECM will be 95% correct with the canned map that comes with the TTS when purchasing that system. You may not even need to get it tuned on a dyno. But most dealers either don't know about the Fullsac system, or won't do it because they want to sell you more expensive things.
