Anybody help with a part number?
« on: March 01, 2007, 02:20:50 PM »

Just received my replacement mufflers today (used, but almost new, off Ebay). They are the standard Screamin' Eagle ones that we all know and love, 65115-98B.  One of them is short the three screws that hold the baffle in/tip on, so does anyone have the instruction sheet that comes with this set of pipes, since I'm hoping it will have the part # for the screws on, so I can order three new ones?

Thanks guys! :2vrolijk_21:

take 1 screw out of the other muffler,,, and take it to your local dealer.  they would most likely have them in stock.

Yeah, I think those are a pretty generic screw.  You should be able to find them elsewhere much cheaper than what H-D would want for 'em.

Chicago Harley shows them at $1.50 per.  We never said that Harley Davidson wasn't an expensive screw.

I'm going to have to buy a parts book, I think.  Didn't think they'd be in the parts book, being an accessory.

Thanks again!

Ought to be able to get all 6 of them for that price.

Is the 2225 the beveled/countersunk style that came on our stock muffs or the button head ones that are on the pipes Jim has?  Their website doesn't show a photo or have a decent description.

In the breakdown I had here that was the number given for the muffler number he listed.  Wasn't looking in the SEEG parts book.
