You won't see a noticable difference in the performance.  I just use the standard plugs and change them every 5,000 miles or yearly.

Is there a reason you guys change the plugs at 5,000 miles?? I've got 16,000 on mine with the stock plugs and it seems to run fine.  Just wondering if I missed something.

For what it's worth I change the plugs on mine (whichever bike that might happen to have been over the years) with the first oil change in the spring.  Whether it's been 5000 miles or 20,000 miles, that's just when I do it.

Granted, a set of plugs should really be expected to last longer than just a few thousand miles or 12 months.  But I can remember it easily at that interval.  They're cheap.  And it's easy easy maintenance.  Plus I can tell the scooter that I'm doing my part to take care of it.  So for me it's just a "that's when I always do it so I don't have to think about it" type of maintenance.

Did try the titanium plugs a couple of weeks ago.  No real reason to do so, just one of those "I want to" deals.  At first, I didn't notice any difference until I realized that the warmup "popping" out of the Rineharts was gone.  No other changes were made, so I'm resuming it was the plug change.  Will post when my service manager buddy gets back and I can pick his little brain.
