I got my Legends in yesterday, havent found that sweet spot yet when riding, we are still bonding, but I like really like the look parked, and wifey will like the ease of geting on the bike now. I really wish it had a gauge though.

I sure like my legends. One more thing to play with going down the road ;D As far as sweet spot I just air them up till the ride is smooth which seems to be about two inches lower than stock? Good luck.

I was under the impresion that you have to ride with them all the way up. and can adjust the ride for firmness from there?

Mike,

You will get use to where the sweet spot is real quick.   :2vrolijk_21:
Mine is while I fire up the motor I bring the air ride up about 5 seconds or so, just so my feet at just touching the pavement.
Then while I ride if I want a little more I put some in or if i want some out wallah I take some out.
Just don't take off with the air ride slammed down...rough ride.....Trust me you will get the hang of it rather quickly

Mike, while you can ride with the suspension slammed down and still have a bit of absorption, it is NOT a smooth ride.  I usually air mine up from bottomed out to just enough to not bounce Suzanne off the bike, then add some more air when I'm underway.  You can adjust/ride them in any position you want to, at any time, whethere standing still or going 80mph.  With two up, I'm generally at or near the top of the range regarding travel of the shock...in other words, aired up intil it stops rising, then I adjust for the road conditions.  When I'm in stop and go traffic, I drop it 1-2 inches to let my feet touch well, and get a pretty good ride there, but once on the open road I usually have them up for full travel/ground clearance.

Yep - just like TC described - you will know if when if feels right for you.  At any height (other then slammed) it is a superior "feel" to the stock air shocks.  The install was easy - just follow the directions - and the ride is incredible.  Expensive, but worth it, expecially if you are 30" inseam or less...

Oh my god I much be an idiot but Me and my buddy "TRIED" to install the lowering kit by burly on my ultra today but just could not figure it out.... an hour later we gave up and dropped it off at Harley.  We were going to attempt to do the chrome inner primary I got in the mail today but I said to hell with that. We couldn't even figure out the little lowering blocks out???????

So whatever and I'm having a detailer that works for Harley to detail my bike.  150.00 bucks..... I told him it better come out looking brand spanking new!! He said it would.  I have another 10 little items to install also but Ill do that myself...  95.00 an hour....

I bet a 800.00 to 1000.00 bill will be waiting for me when I pick up my bike.

YIKES...but its better than fuc....g it up on my own....

Just Installing the chrome inner primary takes a good HD mechanic 32.5 hours to install. Hopefully the shop you are getting yours done at, has financing available
