Is sumping a problem of the touring line only or is it a general problem of the M8 engine?

Read SB1450. Sumping can effect ANY M8 engine built in 2017 or 2018 model years. Touring, Softails, Trikes, CVOs or Police bikes. 107, 114 or 117. Stock, or Stage I, II, III, IV.

Aero8 you are safe just don't ride Grindenwald or Sustenpass you will be fine
