Adjusting Passenger Footpegs on 2007 FLHRSE3
« on: March 06, 2007, 07:35:41 AM »

I lowered the passenger footpegs this weekend and noticed that it leaves the top threaded hole exposed. I haven't had a chance to stop by HD dealer and ask about plug yet, but was just wondering if anyone else has done anything to cover it up. It looks a little hack and I don't want threads to fill up with junk. Thanks.

That's a 3/8" bolt on those pegs. I would assume you could find a 3/8" screw plug to fit in there to fill it up.

Black silicone might work well too.

Chief,
Thanks for the reply. I was by the HD dealer today to check on bag locks and the service tech gave me a couple flat black 3/8 plugs to stick-in. Matches the ones in the very top hole. Fine for now.

Well, if you want a replacement for the hole plug that's already there, the part number is 90493-83 according to the parts book (item 51) on page 78 & 79.   Otherwise, H-D does sell some pretty cool plugs with bar & shield on them and some other styles too.

Cheers!   :drink:

Thanks everyone for the repsonses and welcome. I'm from New Hampshire and haven't had a chance to get the bike into the sun for PIC's yet. Its been in the -20 degrees with the windchill. If it hits fifty like it is suppose to next week, the wheels will be rollin.
