« on: March 06, 2007, 10:50:07 AM »

Had a nice weekend to do some riding. If you ever get the chance Wickenburg is a nice litte ride from Phoenix, only 65 miles from my doorstep. AZ bike week is coming up soon, would make a nice quick day ride. Stop at the www.westerntrailsranch.com they will be having a free concert march 24th, Lynyrd Skynyrd. Whos' up for it?

Do you make the full loop through Wickenburg, Prescott, Jerome, Cottonwood, Pine, Payson then back to Phoenix? This is an excellent full days ride with a good variety of riding.

A buddy of mine like the, Payson for breakfast, then Strawberry, Pine, on to Happy Jack, to Belmont HD for lunch and a cold one or two. Then down to Sedona via Oak creek canyon, and then either I-17 to get home quickly or prescott and wickenburg, a very good day on the road. next time I'll send you an email, see if you want to  come along.

A good ride I did when I lived in Mesa was up b line highway to Payson, to Showlow and down through Globe and back into the east valley. Up through Payson and down the back side through Verde Valley and into Cottonwood and Sedona is also a great ride this time of year. You have to love AZ for the perfect riding weather day or night. Enjoy. Cheers!
