Has anyone seen the April, '07 issue of Cycle World? The feature story is a JJ WCC Custom. It's a 7 cyl. radial Rotec R2800, 2800cc, 110 HP @ 3500 RPM. He did a pretty nice job sticking this airplane engine on a bike frame. Interesting story and pics. There's also lots of other cool bikes in this issue, plus a review of the Nightster. Of course, their usual batch of not so cool ones. And some really weird looking ones too, including a 3-wheeler (not a trike) with 2 front and 1 rear wheels. Never thought I'd ever say this, but this issue's worth picking up. Hoist! 8)

I saw a picture of the bike.  Very creative.. I wonder how it rides.

I've seen a pic of the JJ WCC Rotec bike.  I'll bet it would be a toasty ride in the summer.

The Nightster's don't stay in the showrooms long around here.  I keep telling the better half she needs one. :devilish:

I just took photos of the photos, so these aren't great, but you should get the idea . . .

I bet this bike tries to jump sideways when you hit the throttle.  The first time I rode a Boss Hoss I noticed the torque tried to throw the bike to the side a little.  I'd guess that you'd get that kind of torque on this bike.

You'll notice the exhaust is right in front of the legs! :nervous:

Probably means that no chaps are required in for cold weather riding.

No room to stretch out on that bike. Leg placement is very limited.

I saw a similar bike in Hot Bike. The motor was in line with the frame not like the one in these pics.

Looks like someone thought "I'll build something.... hmmmm... radial engine."   And that's about all the thought that really went in to it.  Flawed design.  Basically unrideable. Bikes that are only good for photos are hard to be impressed by.

We had a thread on the old site with a number of these radial engined bikes, here's one mounted inline.

I'm sure that there are custom bike builders that wouldn't ride anything but a custom, but I've talked to a few that indicated that they build customs to make a living and throw a leg over a pretty standard Harley when they want a comfortable ride.

Like the OCC guys always seem to have stock bikes around and available.
