Picked my Mako up today. Rode it 100 miles home. Did the 50 mph for the first 50 miles. I did notice more ticking at idle and lower speeds but once up to speed it seemed fine.
All of my concerns faded away once I started the ride home. This is a sweet ride.
The badge in the seat is non forgiving. If not for that, the seat would be fine for now IMO.
I did have Reinhart slip ons added before I left but that was it. Nice deep tone/rumble. Shifting and finding neutral was the best by far of any bike I have owned.
As Dave told me there is a noticeable difference with the 117 compared to the 114.
Radio is super nice! Very responsive and way easier to maneuver.
I was very shocked when I got my 18, and noticed more power from the 117 vs the 17 CVO with the 114. I sure could not believe 3 ci would be noticeable. The 117 has a different cam than the 114, and I believe that is what makes the noticeable difference.
The Reinhart slip ons do sound good on the 117 motor.
Congratulations on the new bike.
