Floorboard relocation mounts suggestions
« on: November 19, 2018, 09:33:39 PM »

I've got a 2016 FLTRUSE and I've been trying to locate relocation mounts to move my boards out and forward like the kuryakyn mounts. I've found nothing till now. The only thing I've found is spacers from pinger for almost $100 and it's not 100% confirmed that it will work. They have ent replies yet to my inquiry.
Anybody have any suggestions or ideas on this ? Harley's plans that move your boards forward also don't work either.
I've have the tallboy mounts and are quite expensive but are my last resort due to the lowers need to be trimmed at a substantial amount. I have those in my 2017 RGS and live them along with kuryakyn floorboard relocation mounts too. No lowers.

I went with Hawg Halter forward controls which gave me the leg room that I needed without trimming the lowers.

All in all pretty pricey, but with the adjustable peg and lever location, it finally mad the bike fit me - 6'2", 31" inseam. Having grown up on a FXDWG, I just never did enjoy the boards.

Well I've not given up on the quest for leg room......Kuryakyn now has the spacers for the 2015 & 2016 CVO FLTRU & for the Batwing CVO. That part number is 7509. The one that still will not work but tech support doesn't know is the Floorboard Relocation Brackets part # 4588. Seems like 15' till present including trikes are excluded possibly due to the lower fairings. They may have to be trimmed. I know I have these mounts in my 17' Road Glide Special and I'm going to take a set off and see what the issue is and if there is trimming how much trimming are we talking about. I also have the tallboy cycles mount on my 17' and if I use them on my CVO I have to trim a pre determined amount that comes with the mounts and to me that's a sizable amount I'm just not willing to trim out of my lowers.
