Elec. Harness Tubing
« on: March 10, 2007, 06:45:16 PM »

I have called the dealer, and they're no help. I need some of the electrical harness tubing for some work I'm doing. Where can one find it?

Actually, neither. I'd like to find the same OEM material on the harneses. It's shiny, black and flexible. Looks to be some type of vinyl.

I might try the service manager to get discarded harnesses, if they have any, and cannibalize one for the tubing.

Chief,
You might try Fry's electronics, they have a wide variety of shrink tubing, that's where I got mine when I did the rear LED install.

If I can't find what I'm after, I may have to go that route.

Thanks,

There's one in Alpharetta too, just North of Windward Parkway on Hwy. 9.  It's a great store.

Check out Waytek.  In the categories on the left choose "wire coverings."  From the subcategories select vinyl tubing.

I've got to go to KC tomorrow, I'll run up there and see if they've got it.

They've been around a long time.  Rare is the wiring or other small electrical accessory you don't find there.

Only take 20 bucks and leave your wallet at home.  That place is as bad as the Harley shop for vacuuming your wallet. :bananarock:
