HD adaptive LED headlight
« on: February 23, 2019, 04:51:05 PM »

Has anyone bought or tried one? I have an awful time riding at night here in NH. There are not many street lights and lots of sharp dark turns. I’m super interested in the merits of these adaptive models and looking for feed back. On a side note, they look awesome with the hallo around the outside👌

Almost $900 for a headlight....   Damn.  Admittedly appreciate the function.  But.... damn.  Have bought a lot of bikes over the years for less than that light costs.

I figure I’ve got $45k into the bike so another $800 won’t kill me lol. I’ve got a built motor, upgraded shocks, new windshield, exhaust and my missing piece is night vision and I ride a lot at night.

I have read adaptive headlights are standard on the '19 CVO's, does that include the CVO Road Glide?

Add the passing lamps too.    It's a night and day difference.     You won't be sorry.      Stuart.

No. Not sure where you read that but it isn't true. HD doesn't make the adaptive headlight for the RG. It's aftermarket.

Ah hell, we don't need to rationalize based on cost of bike or any other damn thing.  "I want it, I'm getting it."  That's good enough.  Me nor anyone else gets to suggest to anyone else what they do with their bike or not.  It's a lot of damn money for a headlight!  Doesn't mean it's too damn much if that's what you want  :2vrolijk_21: .

That I've seen Dayne it's a one trick pony.  Just JW Speaker.  They're the OE for some other HD branded LED lights also.

One manufacturer is ok......just prefer to not pay extra for the HD sticker.

JW...$900 cdn on amazon......will have to get a price at the dealer.......but....probably get a JW Speaker version on a future trip south of the border!

My 2019 CVO Limited does not have them.

HD doesn't make the adaptive headlight for the RG. It's aftermarket.

They say this will fit a RG? https://www.harley-davidson.com/store/7-in-daymaker-adaptive-led-headlamp
