Took Boom Audio II speaker out. Noted two speaker wires to back of speaker and then two blue wires to tweeter that then go to mid range speaker in center of main speaker. J&M has a jumper that goes to its tweeter in the speaker grill. I am assuming that when swapped out, you can discard the two blue wires that do to tweeter from HD head unit? Issue is that the wire from the head unit or HD amp is soldered to tweeter so I would need to cut it. Tried plugging  in new speaker, but there is an issue with either my AMP or head unit. Just got bike back form HD and they said "Code said speaker is blown". Now I need to bring it back as they did not look further into the code. Plugged in Boom II speaker and only sound is coming from tweeter.

Guess I am asking of I can cut the two blue wires and use the J&M crossover that is included with their speaker

If your still using the Boom amp, you're throwing away half your power. With the B2 setup, you technically have 8 speakers with 75 watts going to each speaker.

I am so lost, did research for a few weeks and this issue was never mentioned in any of the info I read. All I have read is about how good they sound compared to the Boom II. Read an entire thread with a review and he made no mention of this issue whatsoever.

Each B2 amp has 4 channels. 2 amps, 8 channels. 1 channel to each midrange and one channel to each tweeter. You have a total of 4 of these setups due to the 4 speaker locations, 2 in the wing and 2 in the TP. 4 speakers x 2 channels each equal 8 channels out of the 2 amps

With one amp you only had 4 channels, 1 channel for each speaker.

Now, each speaker location so to speak has two pairs of wires coming from the amp to it. One for the midrange and the other for the tweeter. Each channel has 75 watts to it which means in each speaker location, there's 150 watts of power. If you're only using one of those sets of wires, you're only going to be pushing 75 watts into each of those JM speakers. You're going to have two unused channels on each amp.

Clear as mud. Lol. Would you suggest I splice the Tweeter wires from HD into the Tweeter for the J&M? Doesn't really seem possible as the J&M wires are tiny

I would suggest you contact John at J&M directly and tell him what you have and ask how to proceed from there. From the looks of his speaker, it has one input only.

Called J&M today, they gave definitive "no" that you cannot use their speakers with HD amps. Rep said no one has made adapter either to use their speakers.

What if I use the Boom II speaker grill with their tweeter and then install the J&M speaker using the HD terminal wires therefore using signal from amp for J&M mid range and bass? The J&M speaker is so much heftier and just appears to be a much better speaker. Anyone see an issue using the amp sign to HD tweeter and mid and bass form HD to J&M speaker?

Are there speakers 2ohm like the HD ones or 4ohm?  I can't remember the exact outcome of what happens when you mix them and the reason behind the science to it.

They are 2 ohm, made sure I found and bought only 2 Ohm

You are going from 2 ohm to 2 ohm so the HD amp doesn't see anything but the same resistance.  I'm betting it will work

No and 2 techs at J&M confirmed their speakers will not work with a CVO amp
