Today in So-Cally the temperture was around 95... so I left work a little early (what else is new) for a little ride. I decided to un-dress her a little and removed her lowers.......................

WOW........ she looks BADAZZ..........

I do need new sunglass's......her new chrome burnt right thru my sunglass lens.....

Man I LOVE HER!!!!!!!!!!!

no can do...I like the pockets in the lowers. They go back on in winter or long trips.

Yes they sure do keep the too-cold of ya. I am mounting them close up under the lowers  just to see the effect and check the lean.

His bike is an '06 CUSE. The motors were silver on those.

Please dont' take this as a dis of your bars or bike from that picture.  After all, mine will have exactly the same thing.  But I've never liked the shape of that front crash bar.  With the vented lowers fortunately I've never found a problem in even hot weather.  So my lowers have only been off twice.  But if I were going to keep them off for a long time I'd be looking for a Lindby bar or the bar off the new SERK or something else more attractive than that stock piece we have.

Same here, Don...riding last summer in temps of 100 degrees, could never complain about the air flow over the engine or legs, and NOTHING you do is going to help when you're stuck at a red light with 110 radiating off the asphalt.  The Kury Dragon Wings help a lot too in being able to direct the air flow, and "scoop" a bit more towards the body.

Another one here that doesn't remove the lowers (and mines aren't vented). Personally I like the look of the bike w/the lowers on, and I think it makes it stand out more. I have thought about getting a pair of '06 later lowers and having them painted to match my stock ones just so I could have the vents.

As Terry mentioned the only time there will be issues are when you stuck in traffic not moving or at a light. When it gets that hot I try to avoid both.
