Lived on West Coast of FL for 15 years. Moved to Western NC last year. 1 word for riding in FL BORING. Would not move back if you paid me. Just sayin

Everyone has an opinion.  We live in the buggy swamp hinterlands of the Florida panhandle.  Ride great 2 lane roads in Florida and Georgia, rural areas no traffic 12 months a year. 250 mile ride tomorrow to a seafood joint and it's a fun ride.

BTW NC has some ok roads but is way too cold in the winter.  Again, opinions.   :D

The latest GTS software has a long list of things it fixes.  I installed it two days ago, and in the 350 miles since, I sure have not noticed much of anything it  fixed.  CB icon staying on when the CB is on is one I noticed fixed.

I have noticed it still has the same issues with resuming music playing from the iPhone when the bike is shut of and then restarted after getting gas.
Most the GPS issues are still there as well.

My GPS is off a good 60-70yrds which is huge when using it in a urban area.  It is wanting me in some cases to go past an intersection I should have turn at, make a u-tun and come back to the intersection to make the turn.  The distance to turn slide scale that appears at the bottom of the screen indicates this as well.  It happens no matter where I am, in the city or out in the country.  Is there any way of synchronizing it?  I am using it a lot visiting down here in Florida.

This must be an issue specific to the CVO software. I used the navi yesterday on my '19 RG Special for 181 miles and turns were right in line with voice prompts and right at where turn was.

The issue I found was I imported a ride I planned with Tyre and the route was just as planned, but when I came to a way point, the next turn at bottom of screen would still show 45 yards to way-point. When I tried to bring up maneuvers, is said "Searching" continually. When I used voice prompt at bottom left on Navi scree (HATE that you cannot show this on the screen, have to hear it using the voice prompt) It announced accurate distance to next turn. After the turn, it would go back to showing maneuvers. This only happened with a way point, a turn was fine. I found a work around: I would just "delete next way point"  a short distance before I got to it and it would take me to next way point or turn. It never took me off the route I had planned on Tyre. Imported rout as .GPX file, so I am sure issue is with GTS.

This is small potatoes to what you guys with the CVO package are experiencing, just thought I'd let you all know the non-CVO is also not perfect, but appears to have less issues than y'all have.

Hate to beat a dead horse here however, to my understanding there is no difference anymore between CVO's and standard head units.  What you describe is exactly what is going on with the CVO.  The next maneuver screen is freezing and will not update unless you turn the bike off or the unit does a recalculation.  As far as voice prompts go, if you pay attention to the yardage leading up to a turn, the yardage given by voice is incorrect the same as the maneuver indicator however the voice prompt to turn now is correct as well as the map indicator.  My overall point is we should not have to do any work around.  This is basic stuff for a GPS unit and should have been addressed long ago by HD.  I guess I had false hope coming from the previous generation in my 16.
As far as Florida roads and scenery goes they sure beat Ontario Canada for January to April!

Agree there is no difference in head units, but I believe there is a difference in the software. There are different versions for updates on the HD web page. My voice to turn, my shown distance to turn and the actual turn on the screen are perfect. My issue is with way points on a route created off of the HD unit or the HD Ride planner. Might be wrong, but I do not think I am experiencing half the issues as described on this post.

Agree though that HD should have perfected their stuff before releasing it, and corrected it after an update pr two. They make awesome bikes, but suck at technology.

Funny, the release of the GTS is not any better than the release of the Boom GT for 14.  Just remember, they had an software update for the original boom GT again this year.  So that is 3 to for realizes a year for more than 4 years, still has bugs.

I'm not sure this new GTS release fixed much more than the CB light that I have found.

This update for the GTS is the second update I believe since the bike came out in August.

Either way, there are a lot of annoying bugs in the software.

I was referring to the fact there are not CVO and non CVO versions of the GTS updates, not the number of updates that have been issued. Sorry for the confusion.
