True and Harley Davidson has it knowledged that saying that the longevity and timelessness of their bikes has hurt sales on new bikes. The main thing is that a first time buyer who wants a touring bike can’t typically get long-term financing on a used bike that they can on a brand new bike.

This price point puts them cheaper than any touring model offered by Indian, their closest competitor.

Bingo!

Don't really see this as a "new" model... to me it's a "reintroduction" of a discontinued model. :nixweiss:

:2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21:    Harley still needs to make good on that claim about introducing 100 new models.  They will count this reintroduction towards that bogus 100 claim, along with every color change to existing models, etc. :)

I always liked the EG Standards because of the silver motor.  That was even an occasional discussion on the early SEEGs.  High end bike with the "cheap" looking silver motor.  Fortunately for me I always liked that look.

Another way to efficiently burn through their leftover parts inventory once the 2020's are announced.

Just saying....

If you're wanting a tourer and the price has been an impediment, this could be the ticket.  A cell phone and wireless earbuds...there's your infotainment center.  I haven't used my bike's stereo in a long time, preferring to use earbuds/cell phone for music.

Has anyone seen the VIN number for these Standards?

What's pretty funny is what the VIN numbers starts out with. #FVCK is the first 4 letters.

This should be fun for the new owners.....

The new owners start out as FVCKed?  Finally, some honesty in labeling.   ;D
