Plate relocation
« on: April 10, 2019, 05:28:49 PM »

Hey folks, I'd like to relocate my plate ideally above my taillight/rear light bar, with a curved plate frame.  Second choice would be below my rear light bar.

Is there a reasonably priced option out there to do this?  I'm trying to get rid of the under tourpak billboard, without replacing my BAL taillight if possible.  Eventually I'll do extended bags and fender but don't have the wife's ok to spend the money on that project yet.

Kuryakyn has several options including the curved application you mentioned. kuryakyn.com

G’day carrmat,

Consider functionality. The current location of your plate makes it very difficult to be picked up by speed & red light cameras.

Just saying.......

Cheers Tom

There is a HD plate that mounts above the T/L.  I don't know the P/N but it's part of the removable tour pack kit.

If you have to go with your second choice. H-D makes a kit to put it below the light bar bad thing is it’s like $270 and it covers your CVO medallion.

I both that exact bike new.  One of the first things I did was make the tour pac quick detach a curved plate frame so it would look good with out the tour pack.  I have a write up on how to do it, and what parts I used.  Its on this forum.  I put 44K on the bike before I traded it at 2 years old.

Stretched bags on that bike would look great.
