Happy bunny, after reading this post, managed to upgrade my 2015 Roadglide CVO GPS system for the first time. I had asked dealership to do it last year, but they were incapable. (waste of time).
So yesterday, I upgraded the entertainment system, wirelesss Whim (I fitted 2 years ago) and today the GPS from 2015 maps to 2018 all free of charge.

SO easy to do, had to use my PC and not Mac, just time was needed. Able to give bike a clean whilst it was doing its thing.

Now all I need is to replace the radio system, if I can find a suitable OEM kit in Europe.

How long does it take to upload the updated maps to the bike?

I’m downloading now to USB.

Takes about 20mins.
All painless.
Suggest you have the aux battery charger on.

All done and updated. I was updating from 2014 maps () so it took a little longer.  All went as planned and now current.

That whole process between the software vs maps database vs dealer map is pretty ridiculous though. Could be a lot easier...
