You might want to take a look at the Wild 1 575 Chubby bars...they put you up a couple of inches, but also back a bit, depending on how you mount them...BUT, they are wider too, so the net effect may be the same with regards to the pull back and how your arms feel.  They also allow internal wiring.

I had the same problem, at 6'3" my shoulders would get really sore after a long day in the saddle. I considered the Wild 1's, but didn't want to get my hands any further out into the breeze. I ended up w/ a set of 2 up & 2 out from Flanders, then I mounted then so my hands were behind the fairing. Works great & no more shoulder aches! Had a b!tch of a time running the internal wiring, but the end certainly justified the means!

Check 'em out, they have all different sizes & models: http://www.sideroadcycles.com/AmericanMotorcycles/Handlebars/AmericanHandlebars.html

I had the 575s and took 'em off. Even though they are wider, they did not raise the grips up as much as I thought they would. They are really thick and heavy. When I tried to raise them, I found that the front of the bars smacked the inside of the fairing keeping the grips lower than I had anticipated. I went with the HD pull backs. If you really want your hands higher, Flanders may be your choice.

Hey, not sure if you guys have seen the H-D updated parts book but there are bars in thee you might like. Go to the site and check out Part # 56964-07. they are called tallboy handlebars.   They say 1.5 inches up and 2 inches further from rider. The only downside is they say you have to replace all cables. But who know if you actually do or not.....

Iron,

I've got everything to install the wild ones -- but you are saying that they felt lower?  I'm 6'3" with 36 inch arms (gorrilla).

I am looking for the same effect that heritage bars had on my old roadking. ... I damn sure don't want lower and dont want to pull of my stock and replace it again..

With the Flanders I had to change the brake line, re-route the clutch & throttle. Internal wiring was OK, but not much to spare.

Nix...take a look at this thread, replies 6-9 and see them installed, then judge as to whether you think they are taller.  I KNOW they are taller on my bike, and wider, but still behind the fairing enough to offer hand protection.  Here's a side view...the other post has every view.

One for comparison...this is when I had the stock seat and windshield on.  The photo above is more current, with Clearview.  Note where the base of the mirror is relative to the top of the inner fairing.  About 1 1/2 inches give or take a 1/4th
