Glad you stepped up so you and Dereck can sort it out.

Since you are new to the online world, and this site, you'll quickly learn that there is a very strong trust that is shared between members of this site, and when someone here appears to have broken that trust, it can get pretty nasty, fast.

I hope you guys work it out, and you continue to participate on the site.

I doubt any of us have made a final decision on this and the entire point of the site is to voice one's opinion.

Hopefully as Chief says, there can be an airing of the facts between you and a satisfactory outcome.  No one here ever said the door didn't swing both ways or that there isn't another side to any story.

That's how Paul Harvey made his career, "And now you know the rest of the story".  Except right now we don't.

Chief is right on point with the trust reference.  After reading his response I realized that I had given hd-dude my credit card info without ever asking what he was going to charge me for the part I was ordering. Oh Chit!  ;D ;D

Talking about trust, I've left blank checks with Jim and told him to fill it out and let me know how much!  That being said, I do know where he lives... :huepfenjump3:

Same here, Rog...I've bought and sold things here, and helped out one of our brothers from across the pond, and NEVER had an issue or a problem, and there's a lot of people on this site I would let use one of my bikes without even thinking about it.  In this world of only the written word, it's really important to follow through with what you say you'll do, or offer some damn good reason why you didn't, and soon.

I could post ALL the facts but I don’t need to incriminate him any further.  I’ve got the details of all the messages I sent (date, time, contents, and replies).  There’s a reason he didn’t disclose any more information.

I made my last attempt to get the information with my post in the “Free Kingsize windshield for FLHRSE3” thread.  But after starting this thread I got the only thing I ever asked for, him to reply.

Normally I wouldn't get involved in a public pissin contest like this, cause there's always two sides to the story, but it would seem we aren't really getting either side. My advice here would be for both of you to post what you've got to say, or work it out via PM's and both of you let us know you're square. It does matter to every member of this site when a deal goes bad because there is a trust factor here that isn't present on E-bay or other websites. I for one am proud to say that all of my dealings with other site members buying or selling have been stand up and righteous. I'm proud to be a member of this site because of that among a lot of other reasons. The whole tone of this thread is bothersome to me and I'm surprised one of the mods hasn't jumped in on this yet.
