I don't mean to get in a long, e-mail battle and I may be wrong.  But how else should I interpret the following post:

"i have the matching tour pak mounted on the two up rack. i also have the additional lockset that i am willing to part with. $500 takes it. i'm going another route now. "

So i PM this member and received the following reply:

"still available. i'm close to XXXXXXXXX. if you confirm i'll hold it . matching tour pak, lock set(not installed) and its on a two up rack. my cell # XXXXXXXXXX"

So I went to meet the member, but we failed to link up after I drove 285 miles one-way.  I didn't make too big of a deal about the failed link up because I was still interested.

But since then, deliberate no responses to my PMs  :nixweiss:  And yes, he's been on-line.

Just needed to vent a little, I'm not the judge of anyone.  That's someone else's job.  But if a man isn't true to their word, what are they really?????

I think I remember that post.

If you had arrangements to meet and drove 285 miles, you have EVERY reason to be pissed.  I am surprised you took it as well as you did.

Awhile back a similar situation came up I believe.

Not sure of the details but pretty much the issue here is one of trust.  We all belong here in a loose sense and while there is no "official" membership etc. there is a unwritten and I feel moral code to treat each other fairly and with an honest attempt to be true to our word and commitments.

Like you say, no judgement but for sure in this case you would think that an answer and if warranted an apology would be forth coming.

I know there will be stronger opinions voiced, mine is very strong, I hope I have gotten it across. I'd be pi$$ed too.

Sorry you had to make a useless trip, it would be nice if it would work out but it sounds as though it won't.

You are to be commended on your patience.  285 miles and a no show.  I think he has some 'splaining to do!!

Hopefully, all is ok in his household, and he was just being a di*****d.  An apology and a huge discount is due.
