Also after thinking about Tater's conversation with Mr. Rinehart, I decided that the rest of my earlier post wasn't relevant. Therefore I pose the following questions.

1) Will a 103 motor with Freedom pipes, preprogrammed Freedom power commander and screaming eagle intake out run a comparably equipped 103 with rineharts and power commander?

2) Will a 120" motor with Freedom pipes, power commander and screaming eagle intake outrun a 120" motor with Rineharts (with 2 1/2 baffles), power commander and screaming eagle intake?

And the answer is

JMHO

#1 yes
#2 don't know

I guess I'm gonna have to spend some money to find out.

California - last time I did one of those state police helicopters nabbed me - gonna stop my nonsense and let this Freedom thread continue

I have decided to can the Screaming Eagle pipes on the 03 Classic.

Freedom pipes and the power commander is my choice!

Nothing but the best for the 100th Anniversary bike!

Check out this report, not good for Reiharts...I think the report must be fixed against them.

Test results couldn't have anything to do with Rinehart not using that lab could it?

I would think the big difference is style of pipes. I believe it is known fact that a 2-1 Pipe will produce better HP/TQ numbers. I had a Vance & Hines 2-1 Pro Pipe on my Fatboy and got really good numbers, however I think a lot of "Bagger" owners like the aesthetics of two pipes versus just a single exhaust.

I would think better comparison would be two like style pipes... true duals against true duals, and 2-1's versus 2-1's.

Just my .02 worth

The main reason I think the report is biased against the Reinharts is that they show the stock head pipes w/ screamin eagle mufflers perform better. I just don't see that happening.

Ill stick with my Screamin Eagle Pro 2:1, with the custom tuned baffle. Bike made 95hp, 105tq, with a pipe and air cleaner. Sounds awesome, performs well, and in my eyes, looks good too. I had this pipe on my Dyna (95" HTCC), my "03" SERK and my SEEG. Next bike will have it too.

I just got the freedom setup and was woundering if anyone can tell me if it is worth the price to get the stage 1 download replaced back to the stock map or have it dynoed to get freedoms map to work with the stage 1.

The functionality at the end is the same.  The Power Commander builds it changes from "some" base map.  It doesn't care what that base map is.  You just can't change the base map underneath after the fact (at least not without having to re-dyno tune to build a new map for the Power Commander).

With the end result being the same the only difference is one you might think of as insurance.  With the air cleaner and exhaust upgrades the stock map will be pretty lean without the Power Commander.  The Stage I map is actually pretty decent.  So if your Power Commander ever craps out some distance from home and you have to do the ten minute removal to get back on the road the difference is whether you want the bike to then be running on the base map or the Stage I map.  The Stage I map would be better.  But the Power Commander might not ever fail.  So it's a bit of a crap shoot.

Just remember that if your current Power Commander map was built over a stock ECM the PC will definitely have to be retuned if you load the Stage I.
