Have the Corbin 2up touring saddle on ours.  Great seat.  We were living only an hour away from the Corbin factory in California at the time so we went there and had them custom make it for us.  I have a broken tailbone so they played with the foam, cutting some out to relieve the pressure in that area, thinned out the nose area little more, moved the driver backrest mount forward about an inch, and put red flame stitching on all the leather.  Looks and rides great.  Well worth the money in my opinion.

I do wish it had the separate controls for heat like the stock seat had, cause the wife seems to like it a little hotter than my butt prefers.  But at least I can sit on this seat for hours unlike the stock seat which forced me to get off after less than an hour.

The Corbin is a hard seat but I believe they are right regarding hard is better than soft for long ride comfort.  I have had soft seats, even before my tailbone got broke, and they always gave me "hotspots" after a few hours.  The Corbin does not do that, at least for me

Has anyone got any info on the Corbin seat for the Screaming Eagle Ultra I saw it advertised in an Iron works magazine. It has the ostrich insert and what appears to be more comfort in the seat and is also heated and already has the correct hookup to plug right into the existing harness. And of course there is a matching backrest.
Just checking it is pretty expensive at 899 and and 200+ for the backrest, but this stock seat is wearing my rear out on distance rides any info will be appreciated I like the fact that it matches the theme of the odd ball tour pack (Which I think is the worst item on the SE Ultra, What were they thinking?) And I love my heated seat for those early frosty mornings. Please let me know if anyone has purchased one or has any info about it before I shell out the cash
Thanks

I am sure the Corbin seat isn't for everyone, but it sure is for me. I live in Florida where Corbin has a shop so I would have to pay sales tax if I bought directly from Corbin. They also offred me a 10% discount. I ordered the seat from Benji's(now Charley's) HD in WV. I got the standard 20% discount from them and of course no sales tax. Delivered to my door including shipping was $970. I also had the "nose job" done on the front of the seat and got it with the full backrest and the heated factory wiring. I did a thousand miles last weekend on the seat and it is truly amazing that that hard seat can leave me with no back pains whatsoever. If I had it to do over, i would do the same exact thing. I like the seat for comfort and looks as well.

Got blue.  Been there ever since.

Look at it as a "Battle Scar"...

For a little while that's exactly what I did.  After awhile though I just stopped seeing it.  Never even notice it now unless someone (like Terry) points it out.

Don,

Got a website link?? That sounds like the ticket. I want to see if I can get the "older" style flap for the driver backrest. I absolutely hate that HUGE flap thats there now. Probablt whats kept me from buying one so far. I got an old style new one for my Road Glide on the way from ebay. Lets see if I can get a pic to attach showing the flap I like.

You need to ask for Jenny in parts. She's the only one who does the internet orders.

Chief has the answer. Contact Jenni at 304-523-1340. I know I saved a couple hundred bucks on this seat. BTW, I did have to wait about 6 weeks for the seat to come in. Some of that time was over the Christmas/New Years holidays.

Shot her an email just now and told her her name and website came directly from some friends here! :2vrolijk_21:

Thanks! I'm gonna see if I can get one with the smaller older flap or no flap at all for the rider.

Rob...the new flap is a two piece so that when the backrest is down in the socket, you don't see the hole or the mechanism that allows it to move forward and backwards. There's a flap under the main flap that covers the hole if the backrest is removed.  Otherwise, it looks pretty bad if the flap just stays folded up.  Don't know about the older versions, but that's how this one is made.  Of course, if there is no backrest, there's no flap at all.
