Rear fender CVO Street Glide light replacement

My rear left light burnt out. How hard is that to replace?

The long vertical tail lights are LED.   They don’t have filaments and don’t typically “burn out” unless water entered the board, voltage spiked or some other damage occurred.     I would recommend carefully inspecting the wiring and try sending power and ground directly to it in order to confirm it is the LED array that is bad.    Keep in mind that LEDs only allow current to flow in one direction so polarity matters.     

Are both the run and brake functions dead on that side?

The LED assembly is retained with three screws.  Remove the wiring connector and the three screws to remove the assembly.  See attached drawing.

As Phreakyz mentioned, the lights don't fail very often so you will want to do some basic diagnostics before buying a $200+ replacement part.
