Just received a set of these, they'll be going in after a couple of other parts arrive.

Interesting thing, when I called Comp Cams the guy said they make the SE pushrods. Dunno if it's true

I reused my stock pushrods when I installed S&S lifters, rocker lockers and new oil/air filters in the heads. Easy do it yourself job.

I had a set of the screamin eagles in my 10 road glide. No complaints. All good. I now have a set of s&s quickies waiting to put in my 10 road king. The important thing is the covers. You want covers that allow for the easiest adjustments.

Did the same thing as you refused the stock rods when I put in S&S lifters and rocker lockers. Should have gone with adjustable rods then.

I'm doing a check on the hydraulic cam tensioner shoes I went for the SE quick adjustable pushrods just to save myself all the work of pulling the tank and rocker box etc. On the next check

I'm a bit anal and like the look of the stock pushrod covers and not the pushrod covers that come with most adjustables.  Using the fueling pushrod tube holder you can install most adjustables with the stock tubes, for a stock look (saves a few bucks as well).  Whatever pushrods you choose, I'd recommend the tapered type to avoid any kind of contact up at the top.

They are heavier, have moveable parts (that can come loose) and are expensive. Rather remove tank & Rocker Covers and check everything in the rocker arm area as well. Just my opinion.
Comp Cams is a great company. First contact I ever had with them was Scooter at the 1976 US Nationals (Yes I am old). He offered to regrind our roller and promised improvement. We pulled the current hot set-up Lunati cam in the pits and he walked away with it. Never saw the fellow before in my life, but got it back on Friday and ran quickest times ever for that car on Friday Night. STILL a big fan of that company 43 years later. IF I wanted adjustable pushrods and they had them, I would buy them. But I don't.

The Screaming Eagle are the best for a general mechanic. They can be installed one at a time, inner first, adjusted, then outer. The Smiths would be the least user friendly, trust me, albeit they are decent quality. Splitting hairs with weight and rigidity on a lower lift cam and typical street build. I am an S&S dealer and still lead people to use the SE part for most builds except the high lift, high spring pressure builds.

Thanks for the feedback. Are the S&S s lot more pricey than the SE? Are the 18404-08 the ones you recommend over the straight kind?

Yes 18404-08. A little better design and less expensive than the S&S.

Thanks, Yes I confirmed with Comp Cams they do make the screamin eagle adjustable tapered pushrods.
Their part number is 7016-set also available at direct cycle parts and drag # 09280085

Nope, have to go with Colony or other. Direct cycle parts "thinks" they may be able to work with OEM tubes. I said I doubt it. He is trying to verify but I am sure you can confirm that is wrong...

I run the SE tapereds with stock tubes using the aforementioned Fueling tool.  The Colony adjustable tubes appear identical to the ones included in the SE kit.
