I completely concur with SP's disdain for those nasty terrible Brembo and PM calipers. Unsafe at any speed (proper citations to Ralph of course). In fact, because I love my fellow man so much, and the people here specifically even more; I am here to help. You all send me those PM and Brembo calipers you've got. I'll find a good use for them that won't hurt your bike. Man, is this love or what
?
Looking for info so I can make an informed decision. I personally do not have
disdain
for either.
The tech rides Brembros and recommended them highly. He rides a VRSCSE. Also concider who he gets his feedback from, us! Maybe if you spend 1000.00 for a brake upgrade and have OCD, when the first little squeak or noise pops up, you run screaming to the tech for an answer, maybe with a little buyers remorse. Whining about the grand you just dumped and knowing full well you still lack the skill set to use them!
While I was writing this Tarah from Brembro
www.QTMI.com called me and gave me the low down on their product. Here is something I have not read in this forum:
Why four pads instead of two?
The newest addition to our caliper line up is the four piston, four pad caliper. This part is available for 2000+ front ends using the 12.6" rotor. (Tarah said a bracket for the 11.5 rotor is in production)
* The leading edge of the brake pad always gets better "bite." (leading edge yes) By having four pads, we have
doubled the number of leading edges.* Since there is full contact between the pad and the piston, differential bore is not needed, so we can use the largest pistons possible all the way around!
Tara also stated that if you were doing one or the other parts as an upgrade you would get the most performance upgrade from calipers.
I really like this forum we can

and still have fun,

to you all!!!
Tlanerider is such a nice guy

I was trying to think how I could contribute

, being I am new here

Here is how I can help;
Chrome has a drastic effect on drag coefficientcy and overall weight, look at NASCAR no chrome!. If you remove all your chrome you can gain 3 sec on 0 to 60, 5 sec on a 1/4 mile and add 50 MPH! to your top speed.
There is a chrome recycle center near me. If you need assistance, just send it all to me and I will take it over there for you. They even have shipping reimbursement program !!!
Being new her I want to do all I can to help, so please send all of that useless chrome to the recycling center, via me

ps the guy in the photo is riding Brembros, wonder if I can do that on my UC
